Very nice gesture, but perhaps not the best gift. I just don’t get charity donations in someone else’s name.
Not to mention that it’s likely that person will be innundated with phone calls asking for future contributions.
I’m with Noni. When I donate to charity, I do so via my personal money and I leave my clients out of it. Reason: They may not choose to support the same causes I do, and that’s perfectly acceptable. To each his own.
